Layla #3 Labrador Retriever Young Female for sale in Annapolis, Maryland

My story
Layla #3 is a 4-year-old spayed female yellow lab. Layla weighs 65 pounds and is up to date on shots. She is approved for children ages 10 and up. No tots or toddlers - they make her uncomfortable.Layla #3 is a happy dog who likes to be with you and get attention. She has two things that she thinks are important - one is be with people and the other is to play. She will run after toys but hasn't started bringing them back yet. She was a favorite at the vets as she was so laid back and friendly while there. She likes to ride and was good on her trip up from NC. Layla would like to meet a family with a fenced yard that will give her love, attention and the exercise she needs. If they do that they will be have a ball with her.UPDATE: Layla knows several commands and sits sweetly for treats. She is excited when taking treats and she is totally food motivated. Her adopter reported that Layla "walked" her crate as well as broke out of her crate, but we didnt see any anxiety when she was crated. She slept well in her crate last night but does definitely prefer a wire crate to a plastic crate.Today Layla got a bath. While it wasn't her favorite thing, once we got her in the tub, she did well. She absolutely loves to be brushed. She's also very smart. It was funny afterwards when I called her (I was in cleaning the tub) and she ran up the hallway. She looked into the bathroom and hauled butt! She wasn't falling for that trick again!Layla is unknown with cats but is said to like to chase squirrels. She has not met the resident cat yet and that is not usually done until we know our fosters better and they have acclimated to our foster home. She gets along well with her canine foster siblings and has taken their correction well.Layla does pull on when just using a collar and leash. We fitted her with an Easy Walk Harness and she walked perfectly on lead. This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP.
