Gunner #6 & Harley #4 Labrador Retriever Young Male for sale in Annapolis, Maryland

Gunner #6 & Harley #4's story
GUNNER is a 1-year-old neutered male chocolate lab. Gunner weighs 71 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.
DESCRIPTION Although Gunner and Harley are a bonded pair, we are working to see if they can be separated. Gunner is a stunning chocolate boy! We have only had him for a few days and just beginning to learn about his personality. He loves other dogs and rides very well in the car. He is extremely ball motivated and will do anything for the ball. When you throw the ball, Gunner will bring it back and drop it at your feet. While at the shelter, he spotted a ball 4 outside play areas away and couldn't do enough to get the ball. He is great with Harley and was good with the other dogs at the shelter. He knows sit, down, come and shake. He pulls a great on the leash, so an easy walk harness will be recommended. Gunner and the Harley were surrendered to the shelter due to a divorce and family issues. Gunner is reported as being house trained.
Update: Gunner and Harley are great pups, we tried to separate them and they mutually agree that they missed each other so they need to stay together. They have been doing well at the kennel and have not been a problem. The Animal care folks say they are easy to take care of and play nicely with other dogs. They did say that Gunner is a ball nut, Harley will chase after the ball but gives up when she sees Gunner go after it. When alone she goes and sees what you tossed but doesn't bring it back.
Adopters must meet these requirements:
Setting: Rural, Suburban
Dwelling: Single Family Home
Fencing: Fence Required
Gunner and Harley #4 are a bonded pair and must be adopted together
Gunner is from a rural area and has not been exposed to traffic, noise, or groups of people. If dogs are overwhelmed by their environment, they can exhibit behaviors like excessive barking. For now, to avoid this, we are limiting placement to standalone, single family homes in a suburban neighborhood or rural area. After Gunner has been in a foster home for at least a week or two, we will evaluate if placement can be expanded to include a more urban environment and will send out an update.
